John Richardson, Machine & Logistics Manager “This event would not have been possible without the support of Bunzl Vending Services and its support team, who delivered and collected the bikes and provided help on the day in the Marquee. Bunzl Blazers are absolutely thrilled to have beaten our total raised last year for such a worthy cause.”

Bunzl Vending Services have always been at the front when it comes to involving themselves in social causes and initiatives, so it comes with no surprise when a team of 45 riders from the Bunzl vending services recently participated at a charity event for the British Heart Foundation. The 45 raring to go Bunzl Blazers, as they called themselves, joined in with over 27,000 riders from across the country with a cumulative aim to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. The Bunzl Blazers completed the London-Brighton bike ride and successfully raised funds over £3,800 which is fantastic achievement.

Bunzl vending services is more than your regular vending machine company, their constant attempt at bettering their quality of delivery along with a zealous need to do something charitable and socio-conscious has made them newsworthy. It is but refreshing to see a company go all out and make a difference in more fronts than just their product and service of vending machines. The Bunzl Blazers made an early start at Clapham Common for a 54 mile stretch to the pebbles of Brighton Beach. Barry Fowler was first across the line in a time of around 3 hours 30 minutes and was closely followed by Alex Myles.

It was a fantastic day with a set of hardy, determined and competitive souls set out on a mission, a worthy mission to try raising a grand total befitting the cause itself. After the fun afternoon on the bikes, the riders spent a lovely afternoon with colleagues, friends and family in the much looked forward Bunzl Marquee. The team wants to beat their last year’s total and is thrilled to have more people join in this fantastic effort.
