For all of September of 2011, recordSHRED, a professional shredding company in South Florida that services Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and Palm Beach County, will be hosting a "Shred-Month", where anyone who drops-off boxes to be shredded at recordSHRED's facility won't have to pay for them to be destroyed. Typically, this drop-off service costs several dollars per box, however for September of 2011, it is completely free.
Sometimes professional shredding companies do have "Shred-Days", where they allow individuals to walk over to them and drop-off a couple of boxes. This Shred-Month though allows individuals to not only take advantage of this special for the whole month, but to bring as many boxes as they would like.
The aforementioned Shred-Days that you may have seen advertised before (or even attended) are notorious for their limitations. One shredding company may accept up to 5 boxes per person, another only 3. One event might be going on all day, yet another for only a couple of hours.
Don't even bother with these during 2011's September if you are located near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Simply bring as many boxes as you would like to recordSHRED, and they will shred it for you.
Special is only taking place at a single recordSHRED location that is just outside of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Also, special only applies to "drop-offs". Your documents will be shredded, but if you would like to witness the shredding, there will be a charge for it.
